It's always best to use the minute hand "long hand" and move clockwise stopping every 15 minutes to let it chime and strike the hour until you get to the correct time.
Simply stop the pendulum on your clock and wait one hour and restart your clock.

If the clock runs too slow, turn the adjustment nut to the right. If the clock runs too fast, turn the adjustment nut to the left. Â
Note: one complete turn equals approximately one minute per day
Wind all weights back up, move your minute hand three minutes back (Counter clockwise) let clock finish chiming / Striking then restart the pendulum and reset your time.
Most new Clocks will self correct the chime at the next hour, if the Clocks do not self correct. Call us for a House call 713-523-0133.
First move the minute (long hand) clockwise stopping at the quarters to chime. At the hour, Count the number of times the clock strikes, then move the hour hand (short hand) to the correct number of strikes the clock has made. Once your have moved the hour hand reset your clock to the correct time.
If your clock is on night silent then the two outer weights will not come down as fast since your clock isn't chiming at night.
Note: To find out if your clock is on night silent, check the levers by the 9 o'clock position.

It can vary depending on the movement your clock has. While most clocks wind once a week, others would need every 30 hours, 2 weeks or monthly.
Single chime means your clock will only have the Westminster Chime whereas, the triple chime gives you three different melodies Note: The option to change the triple chimes are though the chime selector next to the 9 o'clock position.
